Glenn Helder

Born into an extremely musical family (his father was in a band for over 45 years), Glenn is a skilled musician on a range of instruments. Drums, however, are most close to his heart. He recalls how he used to run home from school in order to bang out his beats.

Football took over soon after though, and Glenn put music aside for a while. He played for the Dutch national side, coming from the Ajax FC youth system, going on to wear the colours of Vitesse, Sparta, Arsenal and Benfica in an illustrious career.

Glenn has now swapped football clubs for nightclubs, taking on bookings in the choice venues that appreciate his high quality and uplifting rhythmic skills. His approach to live percussion when mixed with a DJ set is that it should not dominate, but be "the extra spice on top - less is definitely more".

A dedicated and talented performer who has played alongside all the top DJs in the Netherlands, Beyond Bookings is proud to represent drummer and percussionist Glenn Helder.
